GSI Completes 60 MWp Al Haq Sources Solar Project in Ma'an

Green Sources Investment (GSI) has successfully completed the Al Haq Sources solar power plant in Ma'an, Jordan — one of the largest utility-scale photovoltaic projects in the country to date.

The 60.480 MWp ground-mounted solar facility was developed under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model, with GSI serving as the main EPC contractor. The plant features state-of-the-art single-axis tracking technology, which continuously orients the solar panels toward the sun throughout the day, significantly boosting energy generation compared to fixed-tilt installations.

The single-axis tracking system employed at Al Haq Sources can increase annual energy yield by up to 25% compared to fixed-tilt systems, making it one of the most efficient utility-scale solar installations in the region.

Upon full operation, the Al Haq Sources plant is expected to generate clean electricity for tens of thousands of Jordanian households, displacing hundreds of thousands of tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. This project reinforces Jordan's commitment to its National Energy Strategy, which targets 50% renewable energy by 2030.

GSI managed the complete project lifecycle — from detailed engineering and equipment procurement through civil works, electrical installation, commissioning, and handover. The project was delivered on schedule and within budget, demonstrating GSI's proven capability to execute large-scale renewable energy projects in challenging desert environments.
